Miramichi Salmon Conservation centre
The Miramichi Salmon Conservation Centre is located in South Esk, NB, just minutes west of Miramichi. It is the oldest operating Atlantic Salmon hatchery in Canada. Aside from salmon, speckled trout is also grown in the hatchery. In 2005 renovations took place and the Hatchery is also a major Atlantic Salmon research centre.
